FAQ

Common Pricing Questions

What is a workstation?+
A workstation is any computer running the Auction Flex desktop software. Each workstation can handle cataloging, clerking, cashiering, or any combination—depending on how you run your operation.
Can I add or remove workstations at any time?+
Yes. You can add workstations as your team grows or scale back if needed. Changes take effect on your next billing cycle.
How does upgrading Auction Flex work?+
Upgrading is seamless—your data stays intact and you simply unlock additional workstations or features. Our team handles the transition so you don't miss a beat.
What is a unique bid?+
A unique bid is one bid placed by one bidder on one lot. If the same bidder bids multiple times on the same lot, only the first bid counts as unique. The fee is $0.25 per unique bid, capped at $150 per auction.
What is internet absentee bidding?+
Internet absentee bidding lets buyers place maximum bids online before a live auction. Their bids are executed on the floor as if they were present—competing against in-room bidders in real time.
Can you explain pricing for internet-only auctions?+
It's $0.25 per unique bid, capped at $150 per auction. For example: a 5-bidder real estate auction costs $1.25 total. A 500-lot auction with 3,000 unique bids hits the $150 cap and never goes higher.
What about webcast auction pricing?+
Webcast auctions have a $75 setup fee per auction, plus the standard $0.25 per unique bid (capped at $150). Without credit card authentication, your maximum total for a webcast auction is $225.
What is Credit Card Registration Authentication?+
An optional service that verifies a bidder's credit card when they register. It helps reduce fraud and no-shows. The fee is $1.00 per authentication—only charged when you enable it.
